    I’m not sure who you think won from that details article. It was pretty undermining form the beginning. David France made it a point to say the transman “was obviously born a woman,” he identified people’s tattoos, he wrote out their real and cover names side by side, and he implicated people in a lawsuit that were not already implicated by the charges. Basically if there was any cover, it was blown to the moon, and it’s totally gonna be harder for them to do the work they do now.

    Perhaps I’m not as attuned to some things as I should be, but I was excited to see a mainstream magazine do some honest research on radicals without condemning them every other sentence.

    It’s certainly not a win to say the transman was born a woman, but I think this is a common mistake that can be corrected with more exposure. And this article is a step toward more exposure of queer issues.

    I’m not sure how incriminating the information was since the BB! folks could use multiple aliases. But yeah, noting peoples’ tattoos is probably a bad thing in general.
